Ultimate Tradesmen Ltd, is looking for a CNC Operator who will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up, and operating a computer numerical control CNC machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
This position will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following job duties:
-Plans machining by studying work orders, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions.
-Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
-Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
-Identify and troubleshoot machine problems.
This individual maybe require to train an individual (s) on the machine’s operation for the purpose of coverage in the event of an absence.
Qualifications/Experience
CNC experience is a must (1-3 years)
CNC Certificate or formal training is an asset
Ability to read basic G-code (programming code) an asset

Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work in a high pressure/busy environment
