We are seeking skilled Ironworkers for a long-term commercial construction project in Edmonton. This role involves structural steel erection, reinforcement, and related tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, erect, and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and girders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate rigging equipment, welding tools, and machinery safely.
- Perform reinforcing work with rebar and post-tensioning systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and safety standards are met.
- Adhere to all site safety protocols and contribute to a zero-incident workplace.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (typically 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
- Plenty of overtime available, including weekends as needed for project demands.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3rd year Ironworker Apprentice or Journeyman status with valid Red Seal or Alberta ticket.
- Mandatory certifications: Fall Protection, Aerial Lift Training (e.g., Scissor Lift/Boom Lift), and CSTS (Construction Safety Training System).
- Proven experience in commercial construction projects.
- Strong physical fitness, ability to work at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to Edmonton job sites.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional tickets such as WHMIS, Confined Space, or Rigging certification.
- Experience with ornamental or bridge work is a plus.
