Job Description
We are seeking skilled Apprentice and Journeyman Pipefitters to join our team for large upcoming shutdown projects in the Calgary and Edmonton areas. These roles involve working in dynamic plant and refinery environments, contributing to critical maintenance and installation tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe fabrication, assembly, and installation in various plant and refinery settings.
- Install equipment at heights using multiple access methods, including man baskets, aerial work platforms (AWP), and ladders.
- Collaborate in a dynamic team environment to ensure efficient project execution.
- Work with cranes and rigging for safe material handling and positioning.
The Experience You Will Bring
- Proven experience in pipe fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Hands-on rigging and hoisting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret complex instructions and technical drawings.
- Knowledge and experience with basic safety programs and documentation.
- Positive and friendly demeanor with a strong safety-conscious attitude.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capable of working safely in confined space environments.
- Required Certifications: H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, CSTS 20.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience working at heights.
- Prior work with flares and combustion equipment.
- Experience in plant or refinery environments.
- Knowledge of pressure testing piping systems.
- Proficiency with tubing and bending.
- Experience with field run installation.
- Additional Certifications: First Aid (Level A or C), Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA).
- Many other tickets would be considered an asset—please list all relevant certifications when applying.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 350’.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently.
- Capability to stand for long periods of time.
