We are seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to join our team for an exciting project located south of Calgary. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems with a focus on motor controls and variable frequency drives (VFDs). This is a hands-on position in a dynamic industrial environment, where safety and precision are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain motor control systems and VFDs.
- Perform electrical wiring, testing, and commissioning for industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components.
Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred).
- Proven experience with motor controls and VFDs in an industrial setting.
- Mandatory certifications: Fall Protection and Aerial Lift Training.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety protocols, and industrial best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including potential overtime and shift work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or similar industrial sectors.
- Additional tickets such as CSTS, H2S Alive, or Confined Space Entry are assets.
