We are currently hiring experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics for a variety of upcoming projects across multiple industries.
Job Description:
We are seeking motivated and skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team. This role involves the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of heavy equipment and machinery used in construction, mining, Oil & Gas, transportation, and industrial operations. Candidates with experience working on a wide range of mobile and stationary equipment are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulics, and drivetrains.
- Complete equipment inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and other trades to ensure equipment reliability and project productivity.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, mining equipment, trucks, or industrial machinery is considered an asset.
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, Red Seal certification, and apprenticeship registration are required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Experience using diagnostic software and maintenance tools is beneficial.
- Valid safety tickets such as CSTS, WHMIS, FallPro, and Mobile Elevated Work Platform are an asset depending on project requirements.
- Physically fit and capable of working in shop, field, industrial, and construction environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered assets.
