We are currently hiring experienced Controls Technicians for a variety of upcoming projects across multiple industries.
Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Controls Technicians to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and repair of control systems and automated equipment. Candidates with experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing, Oil & Gas, power generation, commercial buildings, or automation environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair control systems and automation equipment.
- Read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, and calibration of control devices and equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMI systems, sensors, actuators, control panels, and related components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Support system upgrades, modifications, and start-up activities.
- Collaborate with electricians, instrumentation technicians, engineers, operators, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements:
- Controls Technicians of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, including apprentices and journeypersons.
- Previous experience in controls, automation, instrumentation, electrical maintenance, or related fields is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMI systems, industrial networks, and automated control systems is beneficial.
- Valid safety tickets such as CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Mobile Elevated Work Platform are an asset depending on project requirements.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial, commercial, and construction environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered assets.
